Equipment For Your Parking Meter

The world’s first parking meter, known as Park-O-Meter No. 1, is installed on the southeast corner of what was then First Street and Robinson Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on this day in 1935. His new hometown shared a common problem with many of America’s urban areas–a lack of sufficient parking space for the rapidly increasingly number of automobiles crowding into the downtown business district each day.

Compared to the old tech in the past, parking meter equipment have way improved with models including pay and display, park by space or license and much more. The parking meter equipment accepts bills, coins, credit, debit, prepaid/gift cards and even coupons I mean how can things get any better, right? Well it now comes with anti-tampering cameras and sensors; even audible alarms of unauthorized entry so you keep the bad guys out of your parking meter equipment! Of course not every company nowadays can offer all these goodies in one machine so make sure you visit the right parking meter equipment suppliers.

Asked to find a solution to the problem, Magee came up with the Park-o-Meter. The first working model  of the parking meter equipment went on public display in early May 1935, inspiring immediate debate over the pros and cons of coin-regulated parking.

There are many factors to consider when installing your parking meter equipment which may affect the efficiency if not well considered.

Although parking meter equipment around the world may differ, they do in fact serve the same purpose. Though some cities should consider their rates or user interface as one wrong move by a newbie and they may be paying the world’s highest parking rates. Parking meter equipment can be a very lucrative business as well if you’re using them for your parking space since it is a way to collect revenue and it has been reported by many businesses as one of the highest money generating techniques for their businesses. There are even newer development with parking meter equipment which are their respective apps to make it easier to not only locate parking spots within the city but also pay for your parking.

Study Your Parking

What do you know about your hospital parking? Do you realize it is one of the most popular parking types? According to a parking system study, most hospitals have installed automated parking systems and parking equipment. What is most interesting about this is that the population that come in to contact with these parking systems are (growing rapidly) seniors.

A recent parking system study reveals that seniors are a popular age group mostly interacting with hospital parking systems. How do you know which company to look for? Well, there are many companies out there but very few have the resources and know-how to actually provide excellent and trusted services. You may want to start your search on companies with a lot of experience and visit each of them and get as much information as you can from how they served you to the solutions they provided for you.

After you have made an informed decision on which company to go with, always make sure to have a second option just in case things fall through and you need a second option. What does this say about the future or about the type of parking system you have installed in your hospital? Is it “senior friendly”? Do you think you may need to change or install a new? These are the aspects you may need to start considering as soon as possible before you fall too far behind and end up on the losing side. Maybe you’re thinking of what or how to start to go about it, there are many materials on seniors and parking system study to figure out how to combine the two or you can visit professional companies that offer these services and can help you implement a system that is both easy to operate for any age group and as well reliable to you.
